Right now we are currently studying "Lines" in 2-D and we have a project where are teacher has given us a few emotions/adjectives (angry, sad, loud, silly, timid, etc...) to create a design of lines. For instance, for "Nervous" I drew sort of a zig-zag line, that looked like a heart rate on a lie dectector test, and the lines would go from small to larger, like your heart rate when your nervous, and for masculine, I drew a stair step sort of line, that the vertical lines were very bold. I need help on a design for Loud and Silly. I know those sound easy, but everything I come up with I don't like, and the ones I come up with for Loud basically look like the nervous one. Anyone have good designs or pictures that sort of could help come up with one?

for loud I would do something that's bold...i'm thinking of a sahrp point line at one and in the lower left corner...and that same line goes diagnoly to the upper right corner..getting bolder and thincker.
another one for load would be "c" shape lines that start out small...and get bigger by the time its the fifth "c"...trying to mimic a sound, as if an alarm horn would go off. Similar to the "zzZZ" when snoring.
haha..hard to explain..but I hope you get the idea.
For silly, make curvy lines or swirls.
I did this assignment several years ago..there is no right or wrong answer, and its all based on emotions.

One thing you need to remember is your lessons are meant for you to learn. I'm sure your teacher gave you some examples to see. Just feel free to express yourself w/o getting up tight! Art is fun, so make your representations just as fun! The above examples from your answerers are correct! Very bold? What do you think or see when you hear a loud crash of a garbage can? A horn blast? Express this on your paper! :-) Silly can be anything lively, daydreamy or spur of the moment! It's SILLY!

For loud, have you ever noticed the lines coming out from a cartoon when they yell? Sort of start small and bound out in strong, bold lines. For silly, just have fun and make some fun lines or shapes w/ lines..maybe like a smile and some "laugh" lines.
