i have a 95 civic dx. Its automatic and has problems. some of the wires are messed up like the radio and i think the gauges are kind of messed up.
a guy down the road has a 95 civic 5spd with a single cam vtec and racing seats and lowered on konig racing wheels and tires and working radio. they both got minor dings in them.
the guy wants 500 for it and i bought mine for 560 but has alot more problems like i think it has leaking tranny fluids.
all thats wroong with his is it has a knocking connecting rod bearing but still runs and drives.
i am thinking about trading but want to know how much a connecting rod would cost and how and how long it would take to replace the bearing.

Forget just replacing a rod & gearing; you are looking at a rebuilt motor
Better off keeping your car if it's still running. Connecting rods are internal engine parts and require a skilled person who knows what they are doing to fix it. Not a average joe job.
