Question Details: It is my understanding the only way to change the fuel pressure regulator on a 99 Mercury Cougar (2.5 v6) is to remove the intake manifold.. I recently had this done at a dealership but when I looked at the invoice, they did not charge me for manifold gaskets. Shouldn’t the gaskets have been replaced?

if the manifold had to be taken off then they should have changed the gaskets. some cars do have reuseable gaskets, like metel or plastic, not sure on cougars tho.
i have a 99 cougar with a v6 and about two months ago i had the same thing done. im not sure if they changed the gaskets but they charged me and extra $65 in mis. fees. im not sure what that means, but ill never go there again. i dont know if they changed thegaskets or charged me for having to take half my car apart (their words) or just felt like ripping me off.
