I weigh 140 pounds and 5'4" . I feel uncomfortable with my weight. I want to lose 25-30 pounds really fast but I know that it's kind of impossible unless you do some kind of a cleansing diet or whatever. So for right now, I just want to lose 10 pounds within about 3-4 weeks. or about 2-3 pounds a week. I don't have a diet plan that I can stick to. I mean, first off, when my mom goes to the store, she buys healthy food, but sometimes she buys snacks too, so instead of always eating the healthy food, I sometimes eat the snack food and I really can't control myself to stop. And second, I never feel like excercising. Whenever I tell myself "I'm gonna run a mile later", later comes and then I don't run a mile because I don't feel like it. I just want a diet plan that is easy. If you give me a meal plan of what to eat (stuff that you can find at a regular grocery store) and daily excercises that I should do, that would help. (btw, since March, I have gained about 10 pounds in muscle.
Update:also, please don't tell me to try any pills, or give me any websites to go to. because most websites that I've visited, you have to sign up for something. I don't want to take pills, sign up for anything, or pay for anything. but... if anybody out there has tried the cleansing diet and knows exactly how to go about it, and/or knows a really good site, then please tell me. I highly doubt my mom will let me sign up for anything, but I will only check out the cleansing diet sites if and only if they are safe and really work. If you did the cleansing diet though and know how to do it by just giving me instructions, then feel free to do so.

It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous & is hard to maintain. losing weight is difficult because 1 lb is 3000 calories, so you must burn 3000 calories per pound you want to lose.
cut down on your calories, eat lean protein, and whole grains - bread is not bad, so long as it is whole grain & high in fiber, also eat your veggies & drink lots of water. It is best to eat 1200-1500 calories per day, if you eat less than this your metabilism will slow down, making it harder to lose weight.
NO fast food, no soft drinks (diet or regular) no eating unless you are hungery.
In order to lose weight & change your body you MUST exercise. Start small and then go big.walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedomiter is a great idea.
Do lots of Cardio & weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories.
if you really want to lose the weight you are going to have to use dicipline & work hard. your health is worth it!

And yes, you can control yourself if you want to close the deal on 10 pounds in two months. You can do it. First off, cut out the soda and drink more water and start exercising. You can't lose weight and be lazy. The diet industry is rich with people wanting a quick magic fix -- to lose weight but not really having the discipline to do the hard work to make it happen. But that's with everything in life -- if you want something, it's not enough to just want it, but to plan and then take action. You don't have to join a fancy gym or meal program to do what you need to do. Start walking instead of cabbing, start doing sit-ups and stretchings in your home, in the comfort of your bedroom. Stop making food the enemy and start being kinder to yourself and your body. Tell yourself you will set aside ten minutes at first then stretch to a half hour every day to do something like stretch and exercise. Start small then work your way up, otherwise you set yourself up to fail and then feel bad and the cycle just perpetuates itself and nothing gets accomplished.

Weight maintainance requires several things. You need a good nutritional diet that works for your body type. You need adequate exercise that includes weight training because muscle burns more calories than fat. You need to watch calories as well as what you eat. Dieting is not the key to maintaining a good looking body. Proper eating is a better way to go. You need life style changes that will effect you for the rest of your life that you learn to incorporate into your daily routine because you know inside of you that it will make you look your best and feel your best always. You can lose any amount of weight if you follow a good eating pattern and do not eat more than your required calories per day per meal. You should make your big meals the first two of the day, breakfast and lunch and your dinner the smaller one and you also need to have 2 good nutritional snacks a day as well. If you are eating every 2 to 3 hours (5 to 6 times a day) your metabolism will stay up and you will burn your calories better. Keep even your big meals adequately reasonable and do not over eat. The best way to think about it is how much a normal tummy should hold if it is an adult tummy and that is no more than 2 cups of food per meal. 1 medium apple will equal 1 cup for a good snack if you get what I mean. Most people just plain and simply over eat. Increase your daily activity levels and decrease your daily food intake and you have to lose, and keep your bigger meals in the early day and no meals within 3 hours of your bedtime at night. Remember that fat makes fat so eat lean items. Remember that starches turn to sugar in the bloodstream so limit your intake of pasta's and breads. Remember that it takes water to move water and you need water to flush your system so drink at least 8 cups of water (pure without adding tea or lemon) a day and it actually is better if you drink half your weight in ounces of water a day. So if you weigh 140 lbs, drink 70 oz of water a day. You will be amazed at how you will drop the pounds without even trying.
