Yes, I do believe in reincarnation. I am a true Wiccan and as such it is generally considered a part of our overall belief. There are many religions and cultures that share in the belief although there are differences in the belief as to how one does progress. This process is not intended to grant our own desires on ones body or life but rather to have us progress through various difficulties and learn to correct our paths and become better people. I do for one believe that I had had a past life and am aware of but the end part of it which was tragic at a young age.
As a transwoman I personally feel that this manifestation of our lives is but a part of the growth toward eventual resolution with a clearer soul and more true spirit.
excuse my humor but you could of asked this as a straight question,
Reincarnation, well I want to believe in that, and am really into the idea of past life's, the romance of meeting a love again from days gone bye.
The rational side of me, does say ok, show me for example a person born in Africa that can speak Chinese when he suddenly becomes aware of the past life and I will believe it,,, there will be a reasonable argument by believers why that does not work but its still a nagging thought.
Am thinking you are asking that, and that you are asking it here in this group to find out if others have considered that their eligibility to be in this group so to speak is because of past life links both physical and mental onto the new body and mind,
If you are interested in reading, suggest you purchase Soygal Rinphoce book, The Tibetan Book of the Living and the Dead. This reading will discuss ancient belief systems regarding reincarnation and the process that takes place. In soft cover the price is 17.95 as i recall.
I would be very interested to hear from you after if you do read the book. You have my e-mail address.
Buddhists have a great faith in reincarnation and there are stories told of a monk of great renown who at his death said he had buried all his childhood toys, so that when he was reborn he could find them again and not lose them...he said he had buried them in a specific spot and that when he found them they would know that it was him reborn...
And so the monk died...a few years went by and a child was born and when this child had grown old enough to wander, he went and dug up his toys and then all the people knew it was the old monk reborn...
Do I believe in reincarnation? Yeah I do...Have seen lots of anecdotal and circumstantial evidence to suggest that its real...but no one will ever prove it conclusively...
the only answer i can think of for that is that, we dont know the answer to that, as humans we like to think that their would be and that thought is taught to us from when we are little until we come to except it as truth. i think the reason we do this is because without that thought this "religion" that people in general would freak. i think it is this religion that keeps society going.
and to actually answer your question, idk i like to think their is some sort of afterlife or second life, but i just dont know

what a difficult question... I think that reincarnation is the most realistic possibility in OUR reality...
however after our the death our reality may not be ours anymore...
