Bartók: Divertimento, Romanian Folk Dances - Kodály: Marosszék & Galánta Dances performed by Hugh Wolff & The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
None of the music is that famous although i have played a few on the cello
but the music is amazing and makes me happy
You should see what your local library has on CD
it looks like there are also some classical music podcasts
I like Mozart and Beethoven ( the fifth symphony is something you likely have heard)
or you could start by watching the movie Fantasia
Well, I don't know whether you have heard this before, but I really like "The Planets" by Gustav Holst. It sounds sorta like something that might be part of a movie soundtrack - I like the "Jupiter" part the best. It's pretty famous, but you probably haven't heard it before.
Look for Water Music by Handel. That's what I recommend to non-classical music lovers but interested with it somehow.. :)
