WHAT?!? How in the hell is A-Rod the reason for the bad start? You are 100% right. 20, 47, .290 & 47 is all that matters. Without A-Rod the Yanks are 8-10 games worse. Everything this guy does is multiplied a billion times into something bad; and its all because of his ridiculous contract. If Jeter yelled at the 3rd baseman, it would have been the greatest play of the year ( & its still something that has been happening for ever). Mickey Mantle was banging women left & right when he played, who cares what A-Rod does (thats between he & his wife)

This guy is the most talented player in the world, but because he's not humble like Jeter, people are gonna hate on him because of that contract. Screw the New York papers & any fans who are against him. I've been a Yankee fan all 33 years of my life, and if we run this guy out of town it will be the biggest mistake since signing Andy Hawkins.

And since when is it a bad thing to take out the 2nd baseman on a possible double play. THATS BASEBALL PEOPLE. Milke Lowell throws an elbow into Cano, and nothing gets said. A-Rod slides to the right of the bag and he's the anti-christ? This crap is getting ridiculous. He's trying to help his team win games, and as a fan, I'm glad for it.

I guess its a good thing A-Rod doesn't have nearly as many errors as Jeter. If so, the papers would make him the reason for global warming and the Iraq quagmire.

Being a Red Sox fan I would have to say that Arod is just part of the Red Sox/ Yankee Circus. He is a roller coaster at third and the plate but at least he is along for the ride unlike 5/9ths of the rest of that lineup who have just been black holes at the plate.

I think the Yankee fans are looking for a scapegoat and picking on the player who has been tagged an albatross for teams looking to win the World Series he makes himself out to be an easy target for scrutiny because he does dumb things publicly (walking around with a stripper, getting caught distracting a third baseman, trying to take out a player at second after the play is over, and slapping balls out of pitcher's gloves).

The Yankees are a bunch of bums. No one on that team stands up for AROD and he doesn't seem to do anything wrong. He carried a horrible team through April and just got pounded on by the media, and his teammates didn't do anything to put any support out there for him. Bums.

Its Yankee fans being whiney, George buys the players, the players can't win then many, not all, of the New York fans gather to blame it all on one person.

I can't figure out why AROD is picked on so much. What does the guy have to do? He's been incredible this season, and if it weren't for him the Yanks would be five games worse off than they are already.
