when you divide something by another
you are simply multiplying by the reciprocal!
therefore
6(x^3)(y^4) divided by (2xy)/-3
is
6(x^3)(y^4) x (-3)/(2xy)
an x and a y cancels out
and 6/2 is really 3
(but then you have to multiply by the -3 from the numerator of the second number)
so your final answer should be
-9(x^2)(y^3)
(:
[6/(-2/3)] *[x^3/x]*[y^4/y]
-9 * x^2 * y^3
doesnt make sense
