Then raise up on your toes and set back down on your heels quickly, to make the stomach drop. Do this 11 times. It forces the valve at the neck of the esophagus closed. To see this work, fill a balloon with water and hold it by the neck, bounce it. Same principal.
Everyone had great ideas on foods to avoid, they are all true. But I could not live my life avoiding all the things I loved.
Just a final note: Stress reduces the body's ability to make that protective coating in the stomach. Relaxation helps the body get back in balance again. Try a massage if you can afford one.
I have acid reflux and I eat pretty much anything I want but I do have to take NEXIUM everyday and it works great. Go to your doctor and get a prescription and I hope you have insurance because it can get expensive but it's worth it. Good luck.

You should stay away from any acidic foods, such as orange juice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, etc. Also, stay away from carbonated beverages, chocolate, caffeine, mint, and any spices like chili powder, hot pepper, etc. Hope this helps!

Ive had acid reflux for 5 years now and greasy foods hot dogs sausage and Chinese food really fire the acid up
