AirTran Frequent Flier?
Does anyone know when AirTran (or similar airlines) award you the miles and/or points you earn for travel? Is it when you check in, or after you've flown? I ask because with travel that I will take tomorrow, I will qualify for Elite status with AirTran, and since I'll check in online before going, would I qualify for the Elite status before flying or only after? Thanks.

Usually you receive your award after the trip is over. It does take some time for the award miles to post to your account. The miles will not post to your account before you travel because your plans may change or you may cancel your reservation.
