1 Araayta allathee yukaththibu biddeeni

2 Fathalika allathee yadu'ulyateema

3 Wala yahuddu 'Aala ta'amilmiskeeni

4 Fawaylun lilmusalleena

5 Allatheena hum 'Aan salatihim sahoona

6 Allatheena hum yuraoona

7 Wa yamna'oonalma'oona

When you stop at the last word in each verse (i.e., 1, 2, 3 etc.) the last letter need not be pronounced. ie., you need to pronounce the words 'biddeeni' as 'biddeen'. Similarly other verses.

Surah Maun

In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most compassionate.

1-7- "Have you seen him, who belies the rewards and punishments of the hereafter?. He is who drives away the orphan.And does not urge giving away the food of poor. Then woe to the praying ones,who are careless of their prayer, who do good to be seen. And with hold small kindnesses" (from the people)

Surah Maun 1-7

The main lesson that I take from it is that it is wrong to "go through the motions" of prayer and act as if one is religious, when their actions outside of prayer show they are the opposite. Wrong to present oneself as religious, while refusing to follow that religion by doing what Allah asks. That regardless of how you present yourself to others, or even to Allah, if you are not living by that same representation you are denying the religion. * A friend has given me more information, so I'm going to edit, though I must admit I did not know this before. I've learned this surah explains the person who does not believe in judgement day. The person who mistreats the orphan or one in need, does not urge charity to the poor, though he prays does not head his own prayer, and is bothered by or indignant of the idea of helping others.
