Is this REALLY foreign policy experience??
Update:I'm not saying that O'boy has an abundance of foreign policy experience. I am more baffled by the McCain campaign repeatedly saying that Alaska is closest to Russia, over and over again, as if it is some kind of real point.

It is probably one of the most amusing talking points I've heard in a long time.
No, but it was among the most moronic things I've ever heard supposed "experts" say. We have four states with a land border to Mexico which have all dealt with more Mexican nationals entering the country. Would their governors have even more foreign policy experience than the Alaskan governor? Do the mayors of Detroit and Buffalo, being right next to Canada have foreign policy experience? My cousin owns property in Northwestern Ontario that runs up to the border with Minnesota. I guess he has foreign policy experience too.
As I said, it's an idiotic statement.
The fact that Alaska is only a mile and a half from Russia (Little Diomede (USA) and Big Diomede (RUSSIA) and it is possible to swim from the U.S. to a Russian island, does not equate foreign policy experience. The fact that Eskimo's who live in the U.S. can go to the big island to pick berries in Russia, does not mean they are experts at international foreign policy.
Palin pales in experience!
Her over inflated ego is typically American but she is green. OOPS! I guess green means she has money and the U.S. has the best politicans green back American dollars can buy.
Of course it is.
Alsaka is 30 miles away from Russia, separated by Bering strait, and also has 1000 miles long border with Canada. Naturally plenty of cross-border issues arise. For example fishing, offshore drilling, and pipeline through Canadian terriotry. In addition Alaska was Russian territory only 125 years ago.
In comparison Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas which is landlocked and borders NO foreign countries at all. Yet liberals belive that Clinton did just fine from day one.
Neither Obama nor Biden were ever a governor of any state, nor even a mayor of a town of 1,000.
I live in New Hampshire. New Hampshire is close to Canada but that doesn't make me a foreign policy expert. Nor does it make our governor (or the governor of any border state) a foreign policy expert.
I deal with more foreign countries just walking down the street in New York City.
Yes----get out a map and look at it---and you can see quite clearly.
of course it counts as foreign policy experience.
Next door neighbors and now they want to claim the resources of on the north pole from Alaska.
Don't you think she knows, as the governor, the bear since they once owned the state?
McCain must think all Americans graduated at the bottom 5th of their class
NO!
she has ZERO foreign policy experience! at least OBAMA has met with world leaders (and guess what they actually like him!)... obama is twice as smart as her and knows what must be done and not what mccain says.
mccain/palin need to relax and woosa. they are not going to win this election. americans are tired of this and the so is the world.
u know theres a lot of old people on here when they keep giving you a thumbs down when supporting obama.
