Use f(x)=x+9 and g(x)=x+5 to find each of the following;
(f/g)(x)=
To solve by completing the square, what value should be added to each side of equation?
x^2+12x=7
(f/g)(x) = (x + 9)/(x + 5)
x^2 + bx + c
x^2 + 12x + ___ = 7...........c = (b/2)^2 = (12/2)^2 = 6^2 = 36 should be added to each side
x^2 + 12x + 36 = 7 + 36
(x + 6)^2 = 42................then take sq.rt and subtract 6 from both sides
