I'm 13 and for my whole life, I haven't really liked milk . When I was younger, I would stay away from dairy products like yogurt or cheese. But now that I'm older, I like having yogurt, cheese, and some ice cream. The thing is, everytime I eat a dairy product or drink milk, a half hour or so later, my stomach gets upset and all. I enjoy eating dairy products, but I cannot stand white milk. I only drink chocolate milk. Am I lactose intolerant if drinking milk hurts my stomach?

If it hurts when you have any dairy products, not just milk, then most likely yes. I am myself, I used to dislike milk when I was younger and as I got older and started drinking it I got stabbing horrible pains in my stomach and no medicine could relieve it, the only thing I could do was try to go to sleep and feel better when I woke up. I didn't get this way with ice cream or cheese tho, so I could still eat those and just have a slight pain in my stomach. The truth is, all humans are technically lactose intolerant. Cows milk is not mean for humans, it never was. Its very unhealthy for us to drink it in large amounts, and it can lead to other diseases and even heart problems. But because of all the dairy farming, the government keeps pushing people to buy it and drink it (money) and saying it's healthy. It's really not. Research it. Healthy milk alternatives are soy milk and almond milk (i drink the latter because of the chemicals in soy milk). So you could try one of those, or try drinking milk called Lactaid which has no lactose and tastes like milk. Or whenever you eat other dairy products such as ice cream or cheese, take a Lactaid Pill. It's an enzyme to help you digest dairy because if you are lactose intolerant, you lack that enzyme completely, or you don't have enough to digest it yourself. All the above milks and the lactaid pill should be available at your local grocery store chain. Good luck :)
