I have always wondered this, and so have my parents because when I was a baby, I would never want to drink my milk! My parents would have to force me to, but it would make me cry and cry and cry. They had to take me to the doctors because they didn't know what was wrong with me! Then they figured out that it was because I was getting stomach aches from the milk. I still do! Whenever I drink milk, eat cheese, ice cream, or anything dairy pretty much it makes me get sick to the stomach! I feel like I have to go to the bathroom really bad, I get nauseous, and I have to fart a lot xD I remember always being sick in elementary school because at lunch they would force you to drink milk unless you had a doctors note. Why am I like this? Am I lactose intolerant?

Yes, you probably have lactose intolerance. Lactase is the enzyme needed in lactose metabolism, individuals who are lactose intolerant lack this particular enzyme and so, the non-absorbed sugars are metabolised by the colonic flora (bacteria thriving in the large intestine), producing gas and the subsequent clinical manifestations or symptoms that include nausea, crampy abdominal pain, distention, excessive flatulence, and diarrhea, which begin as early as 30 min following the ingestion of lactose. The severity of symptoms depends on both the lactose load and the residual absorptive capacity of the intestine, which may vary depending on the subject’s age and ethnicity (which you failed to incorporate in your history).
Exclusion of dairy products from the diet is probably the easiest way to confirm this although a lactose breath test can also be used. Commercially available milk products that are either lactose-free or contain a reduced lactose content, including rice and soybased products, may be used as substitutes. Because the symptoms are dose-dependent, the consumption of small quantities 100–200 g (4–8 oz) may be encouraged, either alone or with the use of oral lactase replacement. Milk and other dairy products are rich dietary sources of calcium and vitamin D, hence alternative sources of these vital nutrients should be recommended to patients with lactose intolerance that severely limits their intake of dairy products, to reduce the long-term risk of abnormal bone density and fractures.
You must have been born lactose intolerant. Most babies love milk.
Most lactose intolerance is developed later on and very few people are actually born with it.
Your body does not produce lactose enzyme. You need to take a tablet before eating dairy foods. Lactaid (brand name).
yeah i'm. whether it somewhat is strange by way of fact i will consume 2 slices of pizza, 2 scoops of ice cream, and cocoa (with milk) and be completely large. yet while i drink undeniable milk, i'm going to would desire to run to the bathing room and or get a rash.... yet no I easily have ever tried :actaid till now.... yet perhaps i shoudl provide it a whirl! =)
Well, yeah. xD If you can't tolerate dairy, then... you're intolerant. o.O
