When American Idol does its theme weeks starting with Top Twelve, they usually have an artist related to the weekly theme perform on the results show. Last season (season eight), their first theme night was Michael Jackson. Why didn't they have him perform on the results show? Was it because of a schedule conflict, or the producers just didn't want him on the show? Thanks!
