OK, this is a question to hear about why you think which console is better. The main purpose of this question is to debunk any inaccurate information you may have heard about these consoles so that you can give informed, accurate answers to questions. I will read your answer, then reply back with a statement either correcting you or saying that you are correct. This question has been or is in the process of being posted across every forum and will probably be posted multiple times to get the message to the majority of Answers users. Basically answer the question, then CHECK BACK IN LATER! I will have personally replied to you in the extra information area. I will make an effort to personally reply to everyone.
Also, this is coming from a person who owns all of them, and has been following the industry and the topic of games and games news all the way back to 2 years before the 360 release, so I can officially say that I am not biased in any way.
Update:NOVANERD:
1. CORRECT.
2. Correct to a point. Studies have shown that games such as GTA4 do NOT increase violence in stable children or individuals. So you are wrong at that.
3. Yes the controller is great. Yay. But here is where the wii dissapoints me.Developers are taking advantage of it and releasing...minigames. Minigame collection after minigame collection. Where is the REAL innovation? Seriously? You have all these new ideas, and the best you can come up with is...minigames.
4. CORRECT
5. CORRECT

First of all, thank you. Most of the people that ask these question are fanboys and will only pick the Best Answer based upon what they think is correct. But of course if you are not biased, it's a fair debate.
For me, the best console is the Nintendo Wii. Why?
1) I trust Nintendo. I have been a big fan of Nintendo ever since I was three when I first own a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and I loved it. Moving along down the track getting for Nintendo systems like the Nintendo 64, Gamecube and even my first handheld system was a Gameboy Pocket.
So far, none of these systems has broken down. I have gotten well over two years of use out of each of them. They have been easy to use and were safe for my future (no violence involved).
2) The games are awesome. Most of the games out these days are based on violence, sexual things, drugs and being an idiot. The Nintendo Wii has only a few games on this when the rest of the games are good because I grew up playing Zelda, Pokemon and Mario and they still have those games so that keep me happy.
The thing with the PS3 and 360 is that they think it's "cool" to have games like GTA and MGS4 because they are violent and gorey. What is with this? They are encouraging young kids to go out on the street with a samurai sword and run around cutting people's heads off! You may as well give them a hacksaw and tell them to run around real fast with it! No, no, no!
3) The controlling is pure genius. The 360 and PS3 still have the same old controller design. With the Wii, you are using a wireless remote that makes gaming more interactive.
Imagine if the 360 and Wii both had Zelda games. Now, with the Wii version, you use the Wiimote as a sword and you attack by swinging it. Great! This is a lot of fun! With the 360, yeah, okay, press the B button. Yay... What incredible fun... I don't think so.
You can also use the Wiimote as a tennis raquet, baseball bat, golf club and a steering wheel. And just by attatching a simple device to the bottom of it, you have boxing gloves. As I said before, you just need to press a combination of buttons to play games on the 360 and PS3.
4) It's cheap. The Nintendo Wii is the cheapest ssytem on the market and you can get ages out of it! It costs the least and it's better than the 360 that breaks down, like, two weeks after you buy it. What is with that? The Wii will last you a few good years and so will the PS3, but wouldn't you end up getting bored of the same old, same old?
Yes, you simply would. All you do is press buttons.
The games are cheaper than the other console games and so are the accessories.
5) You can go back in time! With the Wii, you can download games from prevois systems and play them with the Classic Controller. Tell me, can any other system do that? No. Sure the PS3 and Xbox can play most of the games from their old systems, but so can the Wii! More of them!
I am getting a bit over-excited here so I better stop here. Tell me, am I right or am I wrong?
Well, each system has its flaws and high points, but I must say that each has a uniqueness to it that will appeal to many various groups very differently. In my opinion, it's all about games. While the definition of multiplatform has become 360, ps3 and PC, wii has fallen by the wayside in terms of appealing to gamers looking for a challenge. I must say that 360 and ps3 are very similar in terms of games. Howvwer, ps3 has better graphics while 360 has superior online and downloading capabilities. coupled with the fact that 360 gets most of the same great games as ps3, i will say that 360 is the better of the 2. (not to mention the smaller pricetag)
Being said, i will now compare only 360 and wii. I myself am a wii owner that wishes that he had a 360 for any reasons. the main reasons being Street fighter 4, soul calibur 4, assassin's creed, devil may cry 4, and ninja gaiden 2. Other than that, I am extremely happy with my wii. Right now, wii has the best scene of the 3 consoles (in terms of hacking and homebrew) the wii has limitless potential in terms of emulation, homebrew, and innovation. However, it is a far less technologically advanced system than the 360, and its games library is vastly limited. If one were to buy a wii and get it chipped with a wiikey, they would have every video game system up to gamecube readily available (except of course for ps2, xbox, and dreamcast.)
this is my favorite part of my wii. being able to play thousands of old school games very easily. not to mention the homebrew scene is on FIRE. (home made applications that run on the wii)
Now, its all a matter of preference. For a gamer that wants to spend 3+ hours a day playing intensely fun games online, 360 is the way to go. but if you're a social, fun, party type joe, then wii is the way to go. Im going to college in a couple of weeks, and i must say that im looking forward to playing lots of drinking games involving mario kart, smash bros, and mario party, as well as playing many challenging games such as metroid, zelda, and such. Also, i payed 250 for my system, while 360 users spent upwards of $150 more. In short, I am wii biased, but i will not deny that I wish i had a 360 to play a few very key games. Wii is a party system, 360 is a system for gamers. Wii is easy to mod, 360 isnt. To be honest, i never even play my own wii because i only play it at other peoples houses when a bunch of people are over. Oh. and wii has Super smash bros. Suck it.
