I am certified to euthanize and animal and it is not a good experience, but we try to maintain respect with the remains. Depending on the facility we will ask what services you wish for. Remains returned immediatly, cremation services, community disposal. The barb..is the juice that goes into the vein, runs through the bloodstream, to the brain (animal becomes unaware of everything) to the heart and other major organs and then back through the veins. After the owner leaves the room, we respectfully bag the animal. If it is community it is burned with other animals, if they want the ashes we burn it all by itself. If they want the body back, we just wrap it up nicely in a blanket. But we inform customers who take the body that there is a law about how deep you are reqiured to bury the animal.
Depends on the clinic. At ours we have a service that cremates them. You can get your ashes back, guaranteed that its your pet, or the ashes are buried with those of others.

Well, when my dog was euthanized (he had cancer) they gave us the body back and let us find a pet cemetary.
Idk what happens to the shelter dogs.
You can opt for mass cremation. Or for disposal - the dead animal ends up as animal food. Yes - even dog food.

Usually they have the pet cremated.
If you pay to have it returned to you or cremated and returned it is
If not it goes to the trash.
