Hi! I am a girl who is going into grade 9. I have had anorexia for a little more then a year now. I am 5'7 and weigh 97 pounds my lowest being 89. My parents are still making me gain weight though. I have found ways not to eat what they give me so I haven't been gaining but losing weight lately. The paediatrician said if I didn't gain weight then I would have to be hospitalized. I through almost all the food my parents give me cause I like to choose what I eat. This is what I ate today:
Do you think this is a good day for an anorexic in recovery. (I kinda binged later tonight)
Breakfast:
Strawberries: 50 cals
Lunch:
Banana: 100 cals
Mango Popsicle: 100 cals
Dinner:
Salmon:200 cals
Sweet potato:90 cals
Salad: 60 cals
Dessert/binge:
Ice Cream Sandwich:130 cals
Waffle: 80 cals
Mint Ice Cream: 150 cals
Sugar cookie: 50 cals
Tapioca pudding: 200 cals
Mango popsicle: 100 cals
Double Chocolate Cookie: 150 cals
Total:1450
I know it was a pretty bad day and I ate a lot but I have to gain weight. So any feed back in suggestions for a new diet plan would be gratefully appreciated.

That's good! I actually understand exactly how you feel. I'm not anorexic, but EDNOS, with bulimic tendencies. I too, recovered. It is hard at first, but it's so worth it. You did great in the beginning, however, like the other person said, don't gain weight with fatty foods, I understand it was a binge, however, just try more fruits and such.
And to whoever said you're still anorexic, it takes time. You can't honestly expect her to gain all the weight she needs to so soon. She'll probable need some time to adjust to her new diet.

everything was completely fine! you didn't eat a lot even though it may seem like a lot since you don't usually eat this much, the only suggestion that i make is that you eat more for breakfast and lunch. for breakfast have some cereal or eggs, strawberries isnt a real meal. and for lunch have a sandwich or soup or whatever kinda meal! haha again a banana isnt a real meal. if you have a nutritious meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including at least two snacks in between then your body will be really healthy!(: and i know its very very hard but please try not to binge, because it's like all your hard work thrown away :( i admire you for putting in the effort for recovery :) stay strong love<3
You're doing great! Eat fruits, veggies, salad, things that are healthy and yummy. You should also healthy snacks and meals. You should try eating some Lean Cuisine! I have been and they're so good! I hope that you get better!
That's good but your gaining wait thru fatty foods and that's a nono also take vitamins it will make you gain weight

YOU SHOULD WEIGH ABOUT 120 LBS!!!!!!
