hanging his head in shame walking slowly in front of a crowd of onlookers like the tour de france
walking his bicycle along, like as though through clouds, the people are not only making cheering noises but also you can see them, whispering things into each others ears, covering their mouths, then, he sees families with children, teens looking on as though they were seeing something spectacular, even though he knows that they know what his recent issues were (getting caught and the whole story in the news) and maybe you hear their voices and they're saying things all mixed together like "he was my hero," "worked out for hours because of him," "be just like him" maybe even a "when i grow up."
and it all sort of echoes somehow, even the visuals. and he sort of wakes up mentally and psychologically, his soul grows. and he says something like "there's really only one right way to do this" and gets on his bicycle and starts training again, but it is (somehow - that might be too tricky for illustration from here, maybe your imagination can make it work out?) implied that he is going to be clean and train the "natural way" by his own athletic ability and devotion to them.
you may know of other info that would sound or look good with these things, but my guys came up with this right now on the spot for you.
now, in reality, personally have met people who have "gotten clean" of everything you can think of, basically everything they have the cops come into your 7th through 12th grade class to tell you not to do, I've seen people on them, getting wrecked and most of them just ended up as big failures and needed help and went through rehab and got clean and got better and some went to college, started working after a few years, got married, turned to religion or support programs, etc. etc.
so you should try to let people know what it means to turn your self around and get stronger and clean and better because he was a strong guy with an important charity and a positive message. yeah, far fetched but maybe he could like wake up from a dream or something but not so wacky looking that it looks phony and not leave a strong impression or would the slight humor be enough to remember it by?
