Any good Extra Credit Ideas for my Political Science Class?
I'm looking for some good, some what unique ideas I can do for my College in High School Political Science Class. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The new 2010 Census figures released last week will result in 4 new Congressional districts for Texas, 2 for Florida and 1 each, if I recall correctly for Washington State, Utah and Nevada, Georgia and South Carolina. Most articles I have read say that Texas especially, sends conservatives or Republicans to congress, and therefore adding 4 new districts to Texas will add that many Republicans. Some writers argue that Texas has many Latino residents, who will get a chance to vote with other Latinos in future elections, and they are not often Republican. You can research immigration patterns into Texas in the last 10-15 years and make your own opinion on the next Texas congressional delegation: all conservatives, or a mixed group of liberals and conservatives?
