Anyone know if a convicted felon can become a paralegal?
I have a non violent, non drug related felony conviction. Can I be lawfully employed as a paralegal/legal assistant?

Not as a licensed paralegal. In order to sit for the CLA (certified legal assistant), CP (certified paralegal) and PACE (The Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam) exams, one of the requirements for each is that you have not been convicted of a felony...any felony.
