I don't usually dig into fiction when it comes to boxing but the Rocky movies were "entertaining", if not realistic, so lets have a little fun.
As both characters were written, I'd have to go with Creed on this one. Lang got his first win over Rocky because Rocky's style was made for him. Rocky would have lost 10 times had it not been for Creed helping him to change his style and approach to facing Lang.
Lang, for all his power, never had great stamina. Apollo would be brave enough to keep a safe distance, use the jab and movement and wear Lang down. It wouldn't take very long considering how quickly he fizzled out against Rocky the second time, when Rocky used his "boxing skills", if you could call it that.
Rocky is a brawler. Lang is a Slugger. Creed is a boxer with decent power and good movement.
If I could somehow turn these characters into real fighters, keep the same physical stats and use real boxing rules, I'd have to go with Creed on this one. Given this, I don't see Lang fading as quickly as he did against Rocky in the rematch.
Again, turning it real, Lang lasts a bit longer than the 3 rounds he went with Rocky. I don't see him fading that quickly. Still, Rocky beats him the same way, maybe over 5-6 rounds.
Lang would last a bit longer against Creed. Still, I see Creed surviving the early rounds and chopping him down in the later rounds.
Personally, I don't care for any comparisons between Real boxing and the fictitious characters from Rocky. However, I'm not beyond imagining what each of them would be like if they were real boxers. I'll even clean up the animated punches those guys throw for the sake of the excitement. However, since we're going the way of the movies, I can't give too much "real boxing" credit to these actors because, then they would not be who they are. For example, I certainly would not turn Rocky into a "jab n move" boxer. He picked Clubber Lang apart but, again, you wanna call those "jabs" he was throwing. The most comical thing about Creed is that Stallone tried to model him after Muhammad ALI. Creed looks more like an NFL linebacker than a smooth boxer. Sure, he can pass for a boxer but he resembles Mike Weaver or Shannon Briggs more than Muhammad ALI. And he doesn't come near ALI's grace in the ring. Watching that Clydesdale lumber about the ring was comical when I realized that Stallone was stroking his ego by trying to mimic ALI in his movie. As you can see, I struggle to make some sort of connection between the Real and the Reel. Given Apollo's terrible habit of dropping the jab after throwing it, I could see Holmes easily landing the right over Apollo's dropped jab. It took Ivan Drago a while to kill him so I'm assuming that Creed has a good punch. Lugging all that muscle around, I doubt his stamina is the equal of even an average heavyweight boxer. After six rounds, Creed's left eye is closed. He can no longer see the right hands Holmes keeps sending his way. He deserves credit for remaining upright. However, he lacks the speed and grace to stop Holmes from tagging him at will. It's only a matter of time before the referee ends the one-sided affair. Holmes by TKO in 11
I think I would be a good fight, but I would have to say Apollo Creed because in Rocky III Rocky lost the first fight because he was predictable to him, but then when he got help from Creed Rocky was to fast and made Clubber mad which resulted in him winning so thats why I would have to go with Creed, and also because Apollo was really fast and clubber was not so great stamina wise
Apollo Creed would have won as Rocky never trained for Clubber in the third film whereas he trained for Apollo Creed and lost the first fight and should have lost the second fight as well as Apollo was winning on points and scored two knockdowns but got too bigfor his boots and tried to knock Rocky out. Rocky also used Apollo's style to beat Clubber but I think he would have beat him with his own style as well as he used his own style to beat Ivan Drago and he was a better fighter than Clubber Lang. Rocky just never trained for the first fight with Clubber and that is why he got knocked out.
I will go for Creed! Speed kills! See Manny Pacquiao dominates boxing! Creed has speed, stamina, agility and strength to outclass Clubber Lang. Rocky's won against Creed in Rocky 2 was pure luck!
Rocky and Creed both went the distance in each of their "official" fights. A 15 round draw in the first meeting and Creed fell with a standing 9 count resulting in Rocky (who was able to stand) getting the win and the title.
Lang's first match with Rocky was a bit of a blowout. But in the 2nd match Rocky clearly was all over Lang resulting in a KO.
Creed has the speed to keep up with Lang, more stamina too. Lang might have more power but with no stamina, Creed would just have to wear him out, which would have been no problem!
Creed gets the decision but it would go 15 rounds.
That is like asking who would win in a fight mike tyson or muhammad ali both ali and creed would have just kept a great distance and just weared them running around to even keep up with them they would be exhausted in 3 maybe 4 rounds tops and one punch would knock them out

I have to go with Creed over Lang in this.

Creed's speed and mobility would frustrate the slugging Lang, I give the edge to Apollo.
