High School Prom

One of the most significant memories of a high school student is the prom. I think it should not be band because prom is the last gathering, and it is a very formal night, and prom is a rite of passage. Prom is the last gathering students have in high school. It will be the last time students will probably see all of their friends together again after they graduate. Prom is also a very formal event. Women dress up in very nice presentable gowns and men dress in tuxedos. The men take their date to a nice dinner before prom, and then they go have fun. Students may never experience another formal night until their wedding. Prom is also a rite of passage. Students look forward to prom since elementary school. If someone just band prom after looking forward to it for so many years I am they would be disappointed. I think prom should not be band because it is the last gathering, it is a very formal night, and it is a rite of passage.

Binge Drinking

Binge drinking is a very serious problem affecting social life, health, and education in college. The reasons why young people turn to alcohol are they are on their own, peer pressure, and exploration at school. Students are no longer under their parent's wings. While they are living on their own they start to experiment because they have no guidance. They can end tragically by falling into alcoholism. Also there is peer pressure, students just want to be accepted among their friends encourages many to begin drinking. They feel that alcohol makes them a more confident and sociable person. Finally, another significant cause is exploration at school. Students cannot cope with stress brought on by teachers; therefore they are trying to escape from it excessively using alcohol. There are many reason why students turn to alcohol in college because they are on their own, peer pressure, and exploration at school.
