SInce there are plant parasites and animal parasites, are they omnivores? Would there be herbivorous and carnivorous ones or is there some other feeding mode that would describe parasites?
I think parasites based off what they eat (plants) herbivorous and (animals) carnivorous or both omnivorous is how they are classified by the specific thing they eat not grouped together.

The ones that feed on plants would be herbivores and the ones that feed on animals are carnivores obviously.
The ones that feed on both plants and animals are omnivores.

...it depends on what they parasitize...
