Ok kid lets have a go at this. So here are some benefits of big pharma, they develop drugs that keep you alive longer, give you a better quality of life, keep you from dying from infections etc. And here is why they are profit motivated. To bring a drug to market takes almost 10 that is right 10 years and anywhere from 300-600 million dollars (we are talking a lot of Xboxes hoss) to get a drug through clinical trials. And for every drug that makes it through there are many more that do not. And for instance say a drug does not make it to market but is helping someone with a disease. The drug company can help them get a therapeutic used exemption to keep giving them the drug even though the FDA will not approve it for use.

So the end result is they are profit motivated but not evil and want you to die as some dimwitted morons believe. They want the drug to help, but they have to make money to stay in business to make drugs, which help us to live longer or have a better quality of life.

They are awful! Almost as bad as the evil SUVs. Capitalist dogs ! Under the new order, they will be disbanded!

Of course that means no more new drugs. Some would have you believe that making money is somehow a bad thing. So long as you make it honestly, there should be no limit.

They are no more evil than any other business. and less than a lot. They give away millions of dollars worth of free drugs to people who cannot afford them, but you never see them get credit for doing any thing good, do you?

i personally think they are all about money and population control but if you have to argue that they are NOT evil, stick to how they are "trying" to help people and ease their pain.
