Yes; since the bloody Ayatollah rebellion, Iran has repeatedly threatened to take over THEIR lands in the Arabian peninsula and the hatred between Sunni (and Whahabbis are the most radical Sunnis) and Shi'ite dates to shortly after Mohammad's death. Arab vs Persian animosity dates into ancient times.
Gulf Arab states/USA vs Iran
Gulf Arab states/Syria/Lebanon vs Israel
Non-oil Arab states vs Israel (except Jordan, Egypt, Morocco)
Israel against Syria and Iran
Saudi Arabia hates Iran because of the fact Iran is close to, is militarily extra constructive than Saudi, and is making plans to take over the finished area. Saudi Arabia hates Israel because is Islamic extremist and that's a ordinary portion of the platform.
Oooh, it's been awhile since I figured this one. Off top of my head these are the alliances, nation & nation.
Iran, Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, Qatar, Sudan, Venezuela (although he's distanced himself from Iran lately) Bolivia
v
Saudi, Egypt, Israel, America, UAE (island dispute) Jordan
And yes, Saudi and Iran are enemies, and rightfully so. Iran's trying to pull some fast ones on other peoples territory, and thankfully we have the Saudis to counteract and fend them off. It's not working mind you, it is just slowing the Iranians down. Even though the Saudis pulled out the Wahabis, things are otherwise just too polite. Islamics have issues fighting Islamics so they are basically just doing proxy wars.
Dynamics in the Gulf states situated closer to Iran are different than the Arab states situated closer to Israel. Iran is a massive nation, an Islamic nation, and the Islamics believe in some degree in Pan-Arabism coupled with Ummat Al Islam, nation of Islam, so Iran has soooo many of its populace in other peoples nations (close to Iran, in those Gulf states) due to those beliefs, there is ease of immigration.
The issues that we have had with our immigrants here in the West, the Middle East has also had issues of that too, with rivaling factions being "planted" in other nations and ease to sponsor a person who'd compete with a rival of yours when one has religion and sometimes language in common. So basically, there are proxy wars with rivaling factions being sponsored by one or the other all over the place.
The Escalation of the Conflict During Ahmadinejad's Presidency
With Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rise to power in 2005, the conflict reemerged, with greater intensity. Ahmadinejad reverted to Iran's previous policy of anti-Saudi hegemony, by pushing the export of the revolution, and promoting a messianic Shi'ite vision that stresses the imminent appearance of the Mahdi and the reestablishment of the great Persian Empire. In his second television appearance following his election, he said: "The message of the [Islamic] Revolution is global, and not restricted to a specific time or place. It is a human message, and it will move forward. Have no doubt... Allah willing, Islam will conquer. Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountaintops of the world." [6]

"Saudi Arabia responded by increasing its support for the Sunni minority in Iraq, for various Muslim and Christian forces in Lebanon, and for others who were confronting Iranian threats in their territory (e.g. in Yemen, Sudan, and Palestine)."
The Saudis don't like Iran's nuclear ambitions that go hand in hand with its other ambition for hegemony in the middle east.
That goes for the other Gulf States.
Both groups are Muslim but Arabs & the Persians never got along.
1. Yes they are very much enemies. Most Arabs are enemies with the Persians.
2. Israel-Egypt-Jordan-Saudi vs Iran-Syria-Hezbollah
@ linuleb. Palestinians are not shias. And most Lebanese are not shias either. And as far as hating "Christians and America" how do you account for the Iraqi military which has fought and died so Americans can leave that country? Or the Saudis and Kuwaitis who allow U.S. troops on their lands. The Egyptian who do joint military exercises with the U.S. You obviously have no clue to what's really going on.
1- It depends... Saudi Arabia and Iran are not declared enemies but... Saudis are Sunnis and Iranians are Shias. These 2 lots hate each other and they target each other with bombings at their respective religious landmarks or activities. But when it comes to hating Jews, Christians and americans, or to wipe Israel off the map, there are no Shias and no Sunnis: only a united front of muslims.
2- In reference to #1, mulims countries are separated in 2 main blocks: Shias (Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, etc) and Sunnis (North Africa, Saudi Arabia, etc).
Edit:
@hung ginger stud
Excuse me but I think you are trying to mislead everybody. My answer is accurate and well documented. Shiite Iran supports Shiite Palestine in its fight against Israel. Shiite Iran supports Shiite lebanese (Hezbollah) in their fights against lebanese Christians and Israel. As for the political ties between the US and the muslim countries you mention, they exist at government level. Individual citizens from these countries reject any alliance and proclaim their hatred of the US. Obviously I know very well what I am talking about while you restrict yourself to the islamic brainwashing.
