ok im active army, and stationed in south korea, well Special forces is recruiting in my area right now, i know alot about it, and not worried about the physical part, i got 300 on last PT test.. im just wondering about the intensity of the mental training.. i know if i decide to go for it i will be put into classes to learn another language of their choosing.. also i know that there is different types of special forces, like armorer sergeant, and other types,.. im wondering if anyone can give me legit advice on what to expect, and whether or not its worth going into..

It is worth it. The initial part of the selection can get pretty intense. I have a link to a video you can watch that follows a class through selection. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/...
But after that it's more teaching you stuff like languages but theirs also some more intense that you have to go like SERE. But it's deffinatly worth it. It's a great job and plus after you get out of the Army SF would have taught you a lot of skills that can in many civilian jobs so it would above the rest in the job market
Hope I helped
Kid as a 18 year veteran you make me laugh asking a military question on Yahoo Q&A . I mean you really gave yourself away asking a immature question about Special Forces . You probably look this stuff up on the internet . But i can tell you from experience that you don't chose the Special Forces they chose you and you have to had been in the military more than 5 years and carry at least a E6 to E8 ranking .I retired E8 Recon Special Forces .So what i am saying you don't have to pretend you be someone your not just ask the question and i am sure there are Real military peoples on this thread who would be more than happy to help you kid.
