I have read a few places that Ash brown covers red better than like a chestnut would. I have fair skin and thought red hair would accent it well, but it's actually ended up making me appear to be pretty ruddy cheeked.
I have also read that you should select a cool tone to combat all the current warm tones. But when I looked before most of what I saw that was 'cool' was really dark brown, almost black. What are some other cool tones. :) helllp

noo do not use ash anything. ash will turn it GREENISH GREY.
I suggest using a dirty blonde color. it will lighten the red to make it more natural, which will result in you looking far less washed out. Or try a light brown, it could even look the same as the "ash" on the box, but nothing with the word "Ash" in it at all. Trust me, you will wish you hadnt!!!
uh call a beautician or beauty shop...do nothing to that hair til you are sure of mixing hair colors. some hair color have purple , green or red undertones. if you mix the wrong combo you have a mess. i was a blonde, my cousin did my hair warned me not to just go buy anything. well i did i got ash blonde. i got green hair. trust me once you mess it up you cant fix it and your going to the beauty shop to repair it. get knowledge first before doing it yourself. :)
