astral projection/travel question?
please don't answer this question if you're going to attempt to belittle me or push your beliefs on me. i'm asking this seriously and want people who will give me a serious answer.
i was wondering if you are able to choose the spirits you visit in the astral realm? for example i know that you can "talk to dead people" and all that but is there a way to talk to a person you knew that died? i had a very good friend who died last november and his death kind of got me into all this spirituality stuff and i was wondering if there's a way i could visit him in the astral realm. thank you!

Some psychics claim to be able to talk with the dead, (ghosts/spirits), but lacking that, you might, as someone else suggested, surround yourself with articles from that person or that the person liked in life.
Then, when you go to bed, think about the person - really concentrate on him/her as you go to sleep. There is a CHANCE they they may come to you in a dream and you can talk with him/her that way.
DO NOT USE AN OUIJA BOARD FOR THIS!!! (Others may suggest it, but they are DANGEROUS!) Ouija boards open a gateway where evil spirits can enter your room and cause trouble, including haunting your house, or even possessing you or anyone else in the house - including if you have any pets! (Yes, they can possess cats and dogs, though they prefer people.) Your chances of communicating with a deceased friend without having other problems from evil spirits is about nil.

not that I have found. I can talk to any ghost nearby. even if they dont want to talk to me I can pester them mess with them till they start talking... BUT no ive never been able to target a person.. IE I cant just go hey i wanna talk to nepoleon... IF he is a ghost who knows where he is.. I suppose if yer fiend left behind a ghost and he wasnext to you when u go astral OR you visit yer friends house and his ghost is there in his old house then yes you can talk to him... but finding him otherwise... or if he moved on NO....Also realize in the astral you cant talk only write... in the air or on a wall like a sparkler
Ivy vine hit it on the mark. Especially where a Ouji board is involved. You don't have to have a personal item. Although it helps. Just concentrate on them and clearly remember their face. Talk to them as if they were sitting across from you. Most definately they will hear you and as Ivy stated they somtimes visit you clearly in a dream.
Its a tricky one. Overall, if you wish to contact your friend and he wishes to contact you, it is possible. However, you could potentially meat a few other beings you did not count on. But there is no straightforward answer. Try it is my best advice. A good thing to do before could be to surround your self with something/s of his, as a form of sympathetic workings.

Zoe bell is right, but please take precautions : keep a protective stone on your physical when you go. Amethyst works well for that.
