Hey, I have a problem.
When I took my headphones out of the audio jack on my pc, it made a terrible screeching noise...
It doesn't stop until I put the headphones in again, but the sound doesn't occur in my headphones.
When I go to volume control, I can control the strength of this sound by simply increasing or decreasing my volume...
I wonder how I can get rid of this sound... it is not supposed to be there...
I have an Asus g73sw
Intelcore i7-2630QM, 2 GHz
Nvidia GeForce gtx 460m
etc etc... Not really sure what the rest means...
Update:Also when I go to settings and disable the microphone, I still hear myself breathing etc.
Update 3:Oh god... was I listening to my own mic??!? :O
I just realised that I had my computer microphone (not heapdhones) on max, I just disabled that mic and bam! :D

Just a thought do you have a Mic connected to your system? If yes just unplug it.

there seems to be a short-circuit that is causing a distortion.
a technician needs to take a look at it.
I think that you need to fix your audio
