my son has a very bad back an now its so bad tht the medicine they have him on isnt working so what does he need to do to get what it is he needs so many people are on medication thats not needed an that hurts my son from getting what he needs

Try a chiropractor, or a physical therapist.
He needs to do stretching exercises frequently. The old touch your toes works best. He should start my sitting down and reaching for his toes. Gradually he should work up to standing and touching his toes. You should hold a stretch for at least 20 seconds and he should do this many times a day. Another thing that is overlooked is your abs. Your son needs to strengthen his abs to hold his spine in correct alignment. Crunches in which he barely lifts his shoulders off the ground is the best way to go.
Stretching and crunches are by far the best way for him to beat his back pain.
