IMO, it's better than MW2, because the maps are larger, destructible environments, vehicles, moving spawn points, and just overall fun... you can also use party chat.
Are you kidding me? Don't get me wrong. MW2 is a great game, but Battlefield 2 hands down more entertaining in my opinion. You can destroy buildings. The game is always team based so there's no real free for all, but if you could imagine you and three other guys against three other teams of 4. There a hills, trees, buildings, rocks, sniper towers, waist level water and shadows that you can hide in on or around. I know you're yelling camper right now, but to each his own. I get just as many kills running around. I only play hardcore so I had to learn the maps the hard way, but to me that's the best way. Plus you don't have to waste a clip in someone just to kill them. Some things are harder, like stabbing and there is no prone, but that goes for everyone so we're all at the same disadvantage. You learn to cope. Oh yeah, when you stab someone on Battlefield you get their "Dogtags". AKA serious bragging rights. They stay on your stats. Trust me, you don't want to get into a brawl with someone and then let them get your dogtags. Just ask iViolent on XBOX 360. I was killing him over and over. Wasn't my fault. He just kept running to the wrong places. He sniped me once so I went over to that area, dropped down a hill onto a ledge and guess who I found. "SCHING" I got his dogtags. He stopped talking trash. lol
Leveling up is nothing like MW2. It's a long process where you get to decide what you want to level up in. You can choose from four different types of soldier. There's the Assault class(ammo case, assault rifles, grande launcher), Engineer class(mechanic gun that fixes damaged tanks, etc., LMGs and land mines), Medic class(med kits, silenced weapons, c4) and Recon class(sniper rifles, ghillie suit, c4, mortor strikes). There's a class you build up by using tanks and helicopters, etc.
All in all, even if you still want to keep your MW2, I know I did(spent too much money on all the damn map packs), Battlefield 2 is well worth the investment.
Depends, its a very strategic tactical game, it feels more like real war, more than just a run and gun party, maps are much bigger, theres not as many tho, if u like strategy then u cant go wrong with Bad Company 2
Personal like said earlier its glitchie i never got the "you lost" when you won but its alot more chalenging and in my opinion is way better. The 2 things that seriously got my intrest was the destructiable enviorments and the fact that when you use a sniper there is no shaking. and no needing to hold your breath when sniping.
Very glitchy, many bugs. However guns are more balanced, and it is more team-based. But all the glitches that have not been patched make it a rough-around-the-edges game. For example, reloads not counting, knifing animations doubling, receiving the "You lost" message even though you won, etc.
