Romans 12:1 challenges you to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. What does the challenge mean to you?
Jesus said, "you will drink my blood and eat my flesh." Our body as a living sacrifice means we will sacrifice daily for the Word of God. Giving up sinful pleasures. Being called names by atheists and other unbelievers.
Being accused of wrong doings and lied about. Punished for doing what is right. Punished for calling things evil.
Romans 12:2 says do not conform to the pattern of this world. It means avoiding the world s evil standards: greed, selfishness, immorality, and the like.
Remember the goal of religion is control and gathering and hoarding of wealth. If you thought it is about you, your well being, you need to look it over and think again. It is about empowering the clergy, no more than that.
