Well I know you have heard this before, but one time is all that it takes.
If the birth control pill is taken daily and at the same time, then yes the pill is pretty effective. But if you read the box that the pills come in it suggests that you use other sources of birth control to raise the percentage.
So if you girl friend just takes her pill whenever she thinks about it everday, and you all have sex without a condom on one of the days that she is ovulating, then yes there is a chance that she could get pregnant.
So if you are positive that you do not want any children right now then I would suggest using a condom. If you don't like condoms, then there is always Contraceptive Film, and many other types of birth control.
So unless you would like to become abstinent, I would suggest that you use two forms of birth control.
Good Luck

How long has she been taking it? If it hasn't been 3 months yet, then it is risky to try without a condom. (some types of pills say one month before effective) Also, make sure she isn't on any medications (antibiotics- OTC tylenol is okay) as they can negate the effects of birth control. Wait a week after she stops taking the medicine before trying without a condom again.
One time without a condom can be all it takes to have a baby on the way. A condom isn't 100% either, but BC and a condom is a good idea if you do not want a baby.
Some women don't suppose o tell their Dr that they are on beginning control. There are a lot of meds that can effect birth manipulate. Most ought to be taken at equal time day-to-day. There are additionally some infections that may make birth control less powerful.
your right to be worried... altough the pill and the shot are your best bet, things and still happen. The shot is great because its like once every 3 months and you don't have to worry about it! and the pill is every bit as effective if taken at around the same time everyday! one slip up can mess up the entire slip up for atleast a week. If your worried about her taking it on time, set an alarm on your phone so you can remind her to take it. and if your really really worried just wear a condom everytime, but its not needed if shes good about taking her birth control, i personally don't trust the nuva ring, or the patch as good forms of birth controls... if shes on ethier talk to her about changing it to a more effective one
It all depends really. Me and my boyfriend did the deed with out a condom before I was on birth control for months, As soon as I got put on that ****, BAM! I'm pregnant. But pre-*** has just as much sperm, remember that. That's how I got pregnant. More than likely, you'll be fine, if you have any doubts or something just go get Plan B, the morning after pill, from a drug store
Well you need to ask yourself can you really trust her? If she dosent take it everyday it decreases the effectivness, also some medications and herbal supplements can interfere with the effectivness. Antibiotics are one of the medications that can do this. If I was you and you dont want a baby with her then I would wear a condom everytime! Also ask her what kind of pill she is on and go look at their website and do a little research.
Your GF is right... birth control is extremely effective (if it weren't they'd be out of business by now) but it's not responsible for human error. If she's on the pill then there's a chance for error. You have less of a chance for error if she's on the nuvaring or depo shot. If she's taking her BC correctly then you really shouldn't have a problem.
some women people do no longer think of o tell their Dr that they are on start administration. there are assorted meds which may result start administration. maximum could desire to be taken at comparable time on a daily basis. There are additionally some infections which could make start administration much less powerful.
if a baby is to come it will regaurdless
i was in the pill, using foam and a condom and still got pg
Depend on if she takes the birthcontrol properly. IF she takes it every day at the right time you will be fine.
