On my vacation with my boyfriend, I got the timezones mixed up and had to use comdoms as a back up method due to missed pills. The only problem is that on Tuesday the condom broke inside of me during sex and I didn't notice until he had already came.
I have been trying to get a hold of a nurse advisor at the local planned parenthood, but haven't been able to today or yesterday. I took Plan B today at 5 am (roughly 36 hours after sex), but haven't taken my birth control pill since Tuesday because I don't know if I can or should along with Plan B. What to do? I'm already 2 pills late and Plan B makes me kinda queasy.
Also, I was wondering if anyone knew how long after sex it can take for your eggs to be fertilized?
Thanks!
Update:i was on the first week of my pack, but I took it back to back with my last pack. I'm also starting to get a little light spotting since I haven't taken my pill.
(I would do it now, but it's at home and I'm still waiting for my ride to get there x_x)

ok a missed pill or two isnt a huge deal. they dont work in 24 hour periods of time adn then stop. it slowly fades off after about 30 so they say take one every 24 just to make sure your hormone levle stay save. if you took an emergency contraceptive less than 2 days after and you were on birth controll your fine. dont worry so much. you should stay safe but just dont worry you should be fine.
You'll want to continue to take your birth control after taking Plan B. It helps keep everything as normal as possible. If you do get pregnant, neither the Plan B nor your regular BC with harm the fetus so don't worry about that.
But, because you have missed two pills already, you should read the pamphlet that came with your pills because it should tell you how to handle two missed pills. You may need to throw away this pack and simply start a new one.
It can't up to about six for seven days for an egg to be fertilized after sex. And it can take up to about 14 days total for the egg to be fertilized, move down the Fallopian tube, and then implant though.
You shouldnt be missing any more pills. I was advised to keep taking them. Plan B symptons usually go away within a day so you'll just have to suffer with them since there's nothing to really do about that. An egg can be fertilized about or around 72 hours, which is why Plan b must be taken before than. Works best when taken within 24 hours after sex.
I also sometimes forget to take my birth control pills and I have in the past taken the two pills missed at one time but we always use a back up method.
Ok. a guys sperm can live inside u for i think around 5 days. whcih means u could already be pregnant. the plan b pills cant hurt an already exsisting fetus. you took the pills in enough time. but i also took the morning after pill and im about SIX weeks pregnant. its only 85 percent effective. sorry hun, still a strong chance.
You don't need to take your birth control after Plan B. You should throw away the rest of this pack and get your period. Then you will know if you're pregnant.
it takes i moth too know if you are pregnet and if you dont want to be a mother rey now you can go to the farmicy and ask for the peal that they are seling so you dont get pregnet but you have to do it bero you wnow you are pregnet. but it you wany to be a momits ok.
