Bloody Mucas Discharge ? 37 weeks pregnant....?
I have been having what I considered braxton hicks on and off all day nothing consistant.
Friday ( 2 days ago) my doctor stripped my membrains to help start labor due to the baby is getting a bit big, she called me yesterday and we figured sense it had been 48 hours and nothing had happened it wasent going to.
But I just had a Mucas Discarge just as normal but it was alot and this time unlike ever before it was streaked in bright red blood..
Should I call and tell her - its late so I will have to call the oncall, and does this mean labor may be soon ?

I would wait until I started having contractions and they were regular because you could loose you mucus plug days before going into active labor. If you are not in active labor they will just send you home. Active labor is 4cm or more.

Ok sweety, this is your mucous plug. Its basically like a cork that seperates your vagina from your cervix. It becomes dislodged when your cervix begins to dilate. So yes, labor is soon approaching but dont start calling the relatives just yet. Theres really no need to call the Dr unless you feel like your contractions are coming less than five minutes apart, get stronger when you are moving around andhave been this way for at least one hour. Yes call the on call DR. You have just lost your mucas plug. this is very normal and also an indicator that labor is soon about to begin. Your Dr. knocked it loose stripping you.

That was your mucous plug, which means labour is coming but it could still be a few days away. Phone your Dr once the contractions are consistent - lasting approx 45 seconds long and are 5 minutes apart.

No, my babys head has been low on the grounds that i grew to become into 32weeks and that i'm effaced and dialted to a one and that i purely misplaced my plug the day gone by. yet nonetheless no longer something. Its diverse for each female. Btw i'm 37weeks3days..Due feb 9 too :)
Yes dear!! Please call ur Doctor. Let them know that u just lost ur plug and that ur membranes were stripped. Dont panic....it could be any time now! Just relax and call ur doctor. Remember do as they tell u....i have been through an emergency home birth and it was not easy!!! Congrats and good luck!!
