Purdue ranks much higher than BU in engineering. Purdue West Lafayette is in the top 10 engineering schools in the US. It's very well respected, and is considered an elite level engineering school. BU ranks around #60 for that field.

As overall universities, I consider them comparable. But in engineering, Purdue is head and shoulders above BU.

That should factor into your decision. But at the same time, you also need to think about how the schools fit you personally, their locations, which gave you the best aid, and etc.
