i saw that this question had been asked a couple of times several months ago but the asker never responded back to let people know what the situation turned out to be. i have had a very strange cycle this month. at the time i should have gotten my period i had bright red spotting with some tissue that lasted for just a couple of hours. then nothing for a couple of days and then the spotting again for a couple of hours. my cycle is usually 24 days long almost exactly and i have 4 days of consistant bleeding. by day 30 i had nothing but those 2 occurances of spotting but then started to have a brown gooey discharge instead of a regular period that is very very light and has been off and on for 4 days. i have taken 2 HPTs that have both come back negative. since i know that this question has been asked before i was hoping someone that has had this experience could let me know how it turned out for them. i have heard that it is normal and then i have heard that it is a possible indicator of pregnancy.

I think you should go see a doctor b/c it doesn't seem normal at all. You can try to look up those symptoms on WebMD.com That site usually helps me when I want to have an idea of what I might possibly have.
i get it when i have sex, it might be the lube or something like i got cut a bit and its just old blood im not sure but it usually goes away within a few hours no more than a day
you are most likely pregnant because i had a similar situation a couple of months ago, and then i took two pregnancy tests with the second one revealing that i was in fact pregnant, that was five months ago
My periods are always, 2 days of light brown, 1.5 days of red, 2 days of ligtht brown.

I read in Cosmo that (it's nasty.. but) it's just left over blood kinda hanging around in your vagina. And the reason for the coloring is because of the oxygen has mixed with it, and changed the color.
