If you were in a room with a timed bomb and you had a strong enough EMP would it defuse the bomb? Also if the bomb was rigged to the door and you defused the bomb with the EMP would it still be active enough for you to not be able to open the door without it detonating?

Emp would only be able to disrupt an electronically triggered bomb.
There are plenty of bombs that don't involve electronics
If the bomb is electronic and it needs signal, EMP will cripple it.
Depends on the bomb. If the bomb is triggered electronically then yes. If it reacts to motion or breaking, then no.
