Can a Japanese Nintendo DS play American games in English?
I'm interested in purchasing a Green Nintendo DSi LL from play-asia.com
I've gotten very confused about certain things.
Can a Japanese DS play American games? Ex. Yellow Nintendo DSi LL playing Pokemon I bought at Walmart.
And if it can, will it play the game in English?
Please have a real source for extra puntos.

the Japanese DS will not play American games (just like any console won't play games from outside of it's region without first being tampered with), however if you theoretically could get passed the region block, your game would run in the language it was made for.. so in your case it would play the game in english as it is the game software that determines the language not the system it is running on.
yeah purchase one and attempt it out, if it does not artwork then to sell it on ebay.. yet with a bit of luck this is going to artwork, nintendo are actually not as grasping as sony or microsoft.. with the buddy or NTSC ....BullS**t
