It seems like my laptop has fried my powerpack. Is that possible? I have 2 of the same laptop and as soon as I plugged in the power pack to the laptop - nothing. I tried both power packs and now they are both dead. Just wondering because I have never heard of this before. Thanks!

sounds like you have a short in the laptop. i would bring your laptop in to a shop and see if they can find the issue. it might be the laptop that fries next. so backup your data quick
I take it (and want) that that's that genuinely skill supply (the issue you plug in) that's cooked. if so, circulate to the computing device producer's web site & get yet another - you will get "huge-unfold" ones, yet they are frequently no longer too good. no count if it rather is, regrettably, the genuinely computing device that's fried, you will possibly desire to objective taking it to a good community repairman yet you will possibly desire to land up removing the frustrating-stress & putting it in a 2.5 caddy, which you will plug into yet another laptop and thereby get admission to your information. Plus, you would be wanting a large backup source for the destiny.
If its' battery is a total short circuit, or their is a serious short on the motherboard. They should have inbuilt protection, so unplugging them and then using them on a working machines they may work, but not all of them have this.
If its been sittin on the stove for too long..
NPE!
