Am not sure what the rules are as far as muslims entering buildings of a different faith, not for worship but for a wedding for example, can anyone help please?
If it is as you say not for worship purpose then yes they can. there are no hard and fast rules about a Muslim person not being allowed to enter a church.or any other religious building.
It is also compulsory for the person entering to observe any hygiene rules as this is a place where God is remembered.
to someone above who said Muslims do not allow others to enter mosques. you are wrong, there are no rules anyone is welcome, provided they are clean and observe the dress code (as in full sleeves and necklines and full trousers/skirts. ideally a headscarf to cover your head whilst in the premises. really not too much to ask for.)
everyone should respect other peoples believes no matter what and show tolerance
Most Christian Churches operate an "0pen-door" policy and welcome visitors, as long as they are respectful; However I am not sure what "rules" there may be on the Muslim side. A Muslim lady I worked with, some time ago, had told me that they regarded non-Muslims as being "Un-clean" and that they would not be allowed within the Mosque or within their homes, nor would they be allowed to even touch the cover of their sacred book, the Koran.
meaning you stand with him on the altar, and signal the marriage license. you also will be to blame of the ring on the marriage day. you ought to grant a toast ( a short speech congratulating the newlyweds) on the reception. convinced, everyone can enter a Christian church. you may assume contained in the prayers in case you opt for, if no longer no project. A Catholic church will regularly no longer enable communion, via the undeniable fact that's an fairly particular Christian re-enactment of the astounding meal Jesus shared consisting of his followers earlier he become crucified. i'm hoping you've an outstanding time at your buddy's wedding ceremony. that's an honor to be chosen as astounding guy, so delight in your self and have a good time the growing a member of of your buddy and his bride.
Anyone can enter a Christian church (well, most of them, anyway). As long as you are clothed, and behaving as a rational citizen, they won't be offended by anything you do.
No special bowing or observance is needed. Just enter in a respectful way, with decorum, just as any pious person would enter anyone's home. As a Muslim I'm sure you know how to behave with respect and reverence for God. You'll be fine. Just be yourself.
Sure you can enter. Some churches have some things you couldn't participate in, like Communion, since that is not your belief. But they aren't going to stop you from entering.
We're just as peaceful and accepting as Muslims. And I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. I am sure a Christian would be allowed into your prayers if they weren't disruptive.
there are many faiths that do not allow one of theirs into the place of worship, even so called cristians , brothers and j ws
do not. the muslims ask on entering if you are a brother if not you can not enter while prayer is taking place, any other time yes, but take your shoes off. so someone has the chance to say look what i found a gift from Alla, it happened to me in Cairo when i went in the karne kalili mosque.
I don't know what the rules are from the Muslim side of the question, but everyone who comes with respect is welcome inside a Catholic church. I have a friend who got married a couple years ago in a Catholic church who had a Muslim bridesmaid. The biggest "concern" was matching her headscarf to the dress! LOL
As far as I know, anyone can enter a Christian church - at least they can in ours. It may depend on the denomination of the church though. It's sad to think anyone would have a problem with that!
Note to "soulsista": we've had orthodox Jews in our church too - several times. We even had a Rabbi in to teach one of our Bible studies.
Well, first off, muslims and christians worship different Gods. But as far as being humans, there isn't any reason the two can't be with eachother, but as far as beliefs it depends on the faith.
