My mom is a pediatrician and she has a good knowledge of what schizophrenia is, but she only sees people 21 and younger (usually much younger) and most people don't develop schizophrenia until their 20's so by then their probably going to a regular doctor.

it depends on your age. i'd say once you turned 13, you should with to a real doctor (i don't know your age.)
yet schizophrenia is very uncommon to appear in adolescents. but a better person to talk to would be a psychiatrist for the matter.
