I have pcos, but since losing weight, have had regular periods for most of this year and am NEVER late... This month, I'm about a week late. I assumed my boobs were sore because of aunt flo getting close, but they've been hurting for weeks. About a few days ago, I started having period-like cramps, but not even the slightest pink spotting yet. I'm bloated, sore, and tired, but still no period. I've never had a scare before because of my pcos, so I'm pretty freaked out. Any advice is welcome.

PCOS doesn't make accidental pregnancy any more likely, but women with PCOS can still have accidental pregnancies. PCOS can cause fertility problems, but that doesn't mean that all women with the condition are infertile. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "I haven't had a scare before because of my PCOS", but if you mean that you're not using contraception because you think you can't get pregnant, think again. Victoria Beckham has four kids and she has PCOS. PCOS causes irregular hormonal symptoms and irregular periods, so it may just be a sign of the condition rather than pregnancy, but the only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test.

Just take a pregnancy test and find out! Some women with PCOS still ovulate and get pregnant. It might be more difficult but it can still happen 4 you!

If you are overweight, try to lose some and get to a healthier weight. Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, and exercise as often as possible. Don’t smoke, don’t drink, and of course, don’t do drugs. Try to avoid stressful situations, and keep things as calm as possible. Do whatever you can to keep everything as cool as possible. This will give you the best chance to get pregnant.
