with all the diversity and laws does anybody think that government can force a religion on anybody.... like it says "In God We Trust" isn't that a step towards making people believe in god?
The government is not endorsing a specific religion nor is it trying to force anyone to believe in a certain faith. The concept of God is very general and found in most religions worldwide.
There is a state religion being taught in our schools, it's called evolution. America was founded on christianity, and there is no separation of church and state in any official document this country was founded on. That phrase was written in a letter by Thomas Jefferson. It is not constitutional.
It would probably lead to millions of inhabitants emigrating to canada or other countries who still would have freedom of religion (among them probably those people who contributed most to americas prosperity [the intellectual elite for example])

They *could*, but that would go against everything the country was founded on.

NO. The establishment clause of the first amendment of the constitution forbids a national religion.
"In God we trust" Is simply ceremonial deism.
Not without a Constitutional amendment.
Remember, we don't even have an official national language, since it would infringe on the due process rights of people who don't speak that language.
NO!!! You silly Christians need to move to Iraq if you want a country ruled by religion and get out of my free nation.
If our government made a religion it would probably be the suckiest religion in the history of the Earth.

God is a generic term and is a far stretch away from establsihing a religion.
No, there are many religions that believe in god.
It shouldn't. That's basically throwing the Constitution out the window.
