i live in Iowa. i had to get a physical for a job at a factory. i said i have shoulder pain although it doesnt affect my work and i have full mobility of it. because of that the dr requested my notes from my dr handling it, and based off that she refused to clear me. i feel i am fit for the job and it wont be an issue. is this even legal? i keep getting told its illegal ...is there a way i can fight it? the job wont accept a note from my dr it has to be from the ***** who did my physical

As you told them of the existing injury you have become a potential workers comp case, you can refuse to give them your record and they are free to refuse you employment
Yes, it is legal as you are about to do work for the new company with an existing injury.
Day one on the job you grab your shoulder and scream in pain, "what have YOU done to me?"
You then sue this new company for an injury you knew you had in the first place.
The company has a right to protect itself.
Their Company their rules.
You might think you are fit, but the Co. has the rights to refuse you. A Cop. always protect itself.
