I tried to kill myself three times First i tried to slit my wrist with a box cutter and my cat sat next to me making this crazy noise and didn't stop until i put it down Then i was going to try with a razor i put in this little box and my cat sat on it and wouldn't get off Then i tried pills and she knocked them out my hand(Im good now i take happy pills)But can they sense that or is their another resone?. I've heard that cats can be used in therapy, by giving comfort to patients, but i've never heard a story where a cat could sense when a person is about to commit suicide.

If you have a cat like that, then that's really extraordinary. Since this has happened whenever you were trying to kill yourself, I don't think it's a coincidence. I know people don't believe in signs, but this is just so extraordinary....

Maybe it's a sign, someone or something wants you to stay alive.

This is a little anthropomorphic and I am not altogether certain you are not telling fibs.

Animals are distressed when you are distressed and where you translate it in terms they comprehend, like a simper or a whimper. They certainly have a stimulus response.

I do not think cats are clever enough to knock a bottle of pills from your hand with their magic ''kitty sense''. If they are enamoured by a piece of fluff dangling on a string, they mistakenly take to be prey, I do not think they are so intelligent like this..

Aww bless your cat, pets can definitely sense when somethings not right. When I'm feeling upset or low my cat will always stay by my side and comfort me. Cats can definitely sense distress and despair. What your cat did is pretty amazing, your cat saved your life! It's not unknown for pets to save their owners from danger from exampe this dog saved a child from a deadly snake and another dog saved its owner from a flood. There's also a lovely article about a cat who helped this little boy to speak. Pets are very smart and can sense danger. What an amazing cat you have! I'm hope you are ok now and are getting the help you need :). Here are some admirable articles about pets who have saved their owners, thought it might be nice to share them.
