I have been drinking 2 of the Silk coconut milk cartons a week. I'm hoping these will increase my estrogen levels to get my period. I know that soy milk has a reputation for this but it doesn't have much saturated fat as the coconut milk (0.5g in soymilk compared to 5g in coconut milk). So, I'm hoping that the coconut milk will increase my fat stores and have its own natural estrogen properties. Has anyone heard of this with coconut milk possibly increasing estrogen levels or should I just drink soy milk (can't drink cow milk)?
Update:I am in my early twenties, never had a period before due to anorexia which I have struggled with since I was 13. I am currently underweight and trying to gain.

I found an article, "foods that promote estrogen production"
Soy milk and coconut milk get no special mention.
Saturated fat, however, hinders estrogen production.
Are you super skinny and feel like you need to gain weight? Calculate your BMI, if it's under 19, maybe you should increase dem fat stores. But not with saturated fats.
****this paragraph irrelevant due to the additional details***
Other case... maybe you're impatient? The average age of menarch use to be 17. Two things make it come early: more fat (in a bad way) and absence of a father.

Of course, if you're worried you can see a doctor about it.
******edit: further info on weight gain*******
since you apparently need to gain weight, let's start thinking about weight gain. consider a 3000 calorie/day diet, composed of 20% protein, 60% carbs, 20% healthy fats.
That's a lot. if you got all your protein for the day from poultry & fish, that's 21 ounces of meat you need! Over a pound! You're going to need a variety of seasonings or you'll tire of the flavor. Consider marinating your meat. a variety of marinades.
What's more, you're gonna feel stuffed. Well, there's an old trick to making room: rub your stomach.
Luckily, a meal with low fiber and low fat digests fast. So you can snack on poultry and fish throughout the day, rather than trying to eat a large amount in one sitting.
