If you have a Felony, Misdemeanor, that you committed at the age of 15, can an employer/University access those records? What if they are Serious felonies? Any help?
it depends on a lot of factors, most importantly - what type of employer/school, what type of search they do, whether the records are sealed, and what state you live in.
Juvenile records are exclusive. they are in a position to easily be considered via regulation enforcement, the courts, and in some circumstances the U. S. armed forces if the activity required a protection clearance.
What they absolutely will see is that you were arrested. They may or may not see the final outcome. The only part of a person's "file" that is "sealed" is convictions.
The employer/university will certainly ask you to explain the outcome of the arrests that show up in a background check.
In most states(possibly all I'm not sure) juvenile records are sealed, and you when you fill out job applications you don't have to mark the "I'm a felon" box if the crimeoccurred when you were a juvenile.
if this question is asked then say u r a criminal - some jobs do background check, depends who u work for and what school. West Point might want to know
I would think the employer would give you a document giving them permission to get a record on you, then asking you to sign it first before they go ahead and apply for a check on your record, and if its better for you for them not to know then just leave your job before signing, simple....

it all goes on your criminal record. Im pretty sure they dont have immediate access to it. But it can be provided by the police if they ask for it
